🌍 Our Vision

To create a world where mental-health care is accessible, affordable, and stigma-free a world where every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered to seek help without fear or judgment.
We envision communities united in compassion, families strengthened through connection, and lives transformed through education, awareness, and the courage to heal.

At Reboot with JuJu, our vision is to turn pain into purpose, ensuring that hope, love, and life always have a chance to restart.

Our
Mission

The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu is dedicated to enhancing mental health awareness, preventing suicide, and providing essential community support through education, outreach, and resources. We exist to remove the barriers that keep people from getting help by offering emotional support and financial assistance covering therapy copays, counseling costs, and wellness resources for individuals and families affected by depression, anxiety, or suicide. Whether it’s paying a copay, helping someone without insurance, or guiding them to a trusted therapist, we’re here to ensure no one faces their struggles alone. Together, we raise awareness, restore hope, and inspire others to Live; Love; Give;

Why I Created The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu

JuJu’s Light Lives On “Reboot with JuJu” was born out of love, loss, and the unshakable desire to turn pain into purpose. Jawuan “JuJu” Booker faced his own battles with depression, anxiety, autism, and ADHD, yet his kindness, compassion, and passion for helping others never dimmed. In April 2025, his life was tragically cut short by suicide but in his final act of love, he became an organ donor, giving life to others. Even in his hardest moments, JuJu’s heart remained a source of light for those around him.

In his memory, The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu continues the mission he unknowingly began to bring awareness, connection, and healing to those who feel unseen or unheard. Our foundation stands as a beacon of hope, reminding the world that grief can transform into growth and silence into strength.

We are a community based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and organ donation education. Through compassionate outreach, meaningful events, and direct financial support, we help individuals and families find light in life’s darkest moments.

JuJu’s spirit lives on in every story shared, every life touched, and every act of kindness sparked by his legacy. Together, we carry his light forward  one heart, one life, one reboot at a time.

Saresa Taylor-President/Founder

My name is Saresa Taylor, and I am the President and Founder of The Forsythe Foundation – Reboot with JuJu. I’m also a Retired U.S. Army Veteran with 22 years of service, and I’ve dedicated my life to helping others find strength through struggle. After the heartbreaking loss of my son, Jawuan “JuJu” Booker, to suicide at just 18 years old, my world changed forever.

Instead of letting grief consume me, I decided to turn my pain into purpose by creating a foundation that honors his life and helps others who may be suffering in silence.

Through Reboot with JuJu, I strive to bring awareness to mental health, suicide prevention, and organ donation, while building safe and supportive spaces for healing and hope. My military background taught me discipline, leadership, and resilience qualities that now guide me in this new mission. Every day, I carry my son’s memory with me as motivation to uplift others and to spread light where darkness once lived. My goal is simple: to inspire others to reboot, rebuild, and rediscover their purpose just as I am doing, one day at a time.

-Treasurer

I joined the foundation because suicide prevention is deeply personal to me. As a retired veteran, I’ve lost fellow service members and a dear friend to suicide, and their memory inspires me to spread awareness and support others who are struggling.

Outside of my work with the foundation, I love traveling and exploring the world it reminds me how much life still has to offer.
